A docuportrait by documentary photographer and filmmaker Stacii Samidin will be on display on the ground floor of the Nederlands Fotomuseum from 6 October to 1 November 2026. For '75 years of Moluccans in the Netherlands' Samidin portrays 112 Moluccans from different generations, each with their own story, memory and relationship to Maluku.

From 12 June to 1 November 2026, the Nederlands Fotomuseum, the National Museum of Photography, presents Good Food. The exhibition presents a global community of farmers, growers, thinkers and scientists working on sustainable ways of producing food — from agriculture to research and pastry making.

Twenty photographers and visual artists working in the Netherlands show how photography has developed over the past ten years. Makers draw on existing forms and techniques, using them to explore what photography can be today. In the exhibition, photography appears as an image on the wall, but also in books, films, archives, installations, performances and digital technologies.

Ninety-nine iconic photographs tell the story of photography’s development in the Netherlands from 1842 to the present day. This selection showcases the milestones, innovations, and immense progress made by photographers between the invention of the medium and the techniques of today. These images hold iconic status due to their social and artistic significance.

More than 200 works bring together the life and work of photographer and resistance fighter Violette Cornelius (1919–1998). Much of her work remained hidden for decades and, following extensive research into her archive, is now being shown on this scale for the first time.

From 11 December 2026 to 11 April 2027, the Nederlands Fotomuseum presents ‘Dag Nederland’, an exhibition by photographer and filmmaker Marwan Magroun. Existing work from different periods is brought together with new photography created especially for the exhibition.

Where does the image end and reality begin? In Screen Melancholy, artist Li Yi-Fan (Taipei, 1989) brings digital and physical worlds together.

From 19 March 2027, the Nederlands Fotomuseum presents a survey of artist photographer Angèle Etoundi Essamba, spanning four decades of her work in photography, alongside text, video and sound.
