In the summer of 2025, the Nederlands Fotomuseum travelled across the Netherlands with Gallery of Honour on Tour. We brought photographs from the Eregalerij to places outside the museum, such as community centres, festivals, libraries and museums.
At each location, one photograph took centre stage. Visitors were invited to pause, look closely and reflect on what the image meant to them. By sharing memories, stories and thoughts, new layers of meaning emerged and a direct connection was created between the image and its audience.
