Open 7 February
The Nederlands Fotomuseum is the national museum of photography in the Netherlands. Housed in the monumental Santos warehouse in Rotterdam, the museum presents work by leading Dutch photographers as well as emerging talents, spanning from the invention of photography around 1839 to the present day.
The Gallery of Honour on Tour
In the summer of 2025, the Nederlands Fotomuseum travelled across the Netherlands with Gallery of Honour on Tour. We brought photographs from the Eregalerij to places outside the museum, such as community centres, festivals, libraries and museums.
Globally leading in collection management
The Nederlands Fotomuseum is a global leader in collection management and the protection of photographic archives. The work of the museum, including its exhibitions and public programme, center around its collection, which is an ever-growing record of Dutch photographic history. The museum has amassed a unique collection for more than 25 years. It is estimated the collection will reach 7.5 million photographic objects by 2028.
