Book presentation: Rotterdam in focus
On Sunday 29 March, you are welcome to join the book presentation of Rotterdam in focus at the Nederlands Fotomuseum. The presentation takes place during the Unseen Book Market.
About the presentation
At 15.00, Senior Curator Ruben Lundgren opens the presentation, followed by a reading by Dean Bowen, former city poet of Rotterdam. This is followed by a conversation with the makers of the book and the exhibition.
How do you make a selection from 185 years of photography of the city? Curators Frits Gierstberg and Joop de Jong talk about the selection process behind Rotterdam in focus. In the book, the image takes centre stage, without a fixed order in time or place.
Photographer Loes van Duijvendijk shares her perspective on Rotterdam. Designer Jannetje in ’t Veld (Koehorst in ’t Veld) discusses the design of the publication.
