Thinking about your legacy?
Does photography move you? Is it close to your heart? If so, consider a planned gift to the museum. Your gift can support an existing programme or your special wishes.
Collectors Council
A way to contribute is to become a Collectors Council member. This group of photography enthusiasts help determine which photographs will be acquired for the collection. As a member, you can expect:
- Inspiring photography sessions.
- Special glimpses into the museum.
- Introductions to our curators.
- Studio visits with photographers.
Members pay an annual fee of €10,000. The Mondriaan Fund will match your contribution. Your contribution will be used for new acquisitions for the collection.
Honour a loved one
Another way to contribute is to create a Named Fund to honour the memory of a loved one. Currently, the museum is working closely with two Named Funds – each with its own goals. The Anna Cornelis Fund stimulates documentary photography in the Netherlands. The Jan Bernard Gijsman Fund supports educational programs for photography and visual literacy projects.
Let’s have an informal chat
Our senior development advisor, Cathelijne Beckand Verwee, can give you a private tour of the museum and discuss our upcoming plans. She can offer advice and help you structure a gift that properly honours your legacy.
You can reach her at cbeckandverwee@nederlandsfotomuseum.nl or 06-43513929.
Tax benefit
The Nederlands Fotomuseum is officially recognised as a cultural Public Benefit Organisation (ANBI). Donations to the museum are exempt from gift and inheritance tax. As a private donor, you can deduct your donation to a cultural ANBI from your income tax.
With a recurring donation agreement, you can maximise existing tax benefits. If you donate a fixed amount annually for at least 5 years, your donation is even 125% deductible annually (the first €5,000). To calculate your tax benefit, we recommend that you consult with your tax advisor.
